 The Differences in the ADDIE, SAM, and Dick and Carey Design Models Below is a chart displaying the differences of the following models in relation to each other.  ADDIE SAM DICK AND CAREY Begins with Analysis Begins with Preparation Interrelated  Ordered Structure Agile Approach Outcome driven Prolonged Flexibility  Influential  In regards to building a course or training, I believe ADDIE would be ideal for me. I appreciate the structure of ADDIE, so I can see the benefits of the structure to ensure each component is addressed and included. I could see the benefits of using SAM in building a course or training by ensuring all necessary materials are gathered and accounted for. The Dick and Carey model can be beneficial when constructing a course or training as it's outcome-driven and will have the learners in mind during instruction and creation.
