4 Steps to Effectively Prototyping A User Experience Design When developing my workshop, I discovered the application  Miro , an online whiteboard that assisted me in efficiently organizing my content. Below, you will see my workshop content, and to view it further, you can click  this link . Using Miro helped me to organize my thoughts and ensure that I included all the necessary information by using sticky notes and arrows to create a cohesive and aligned prototype. By following these four steps, designers can ensure their prototype is up to standard and includes every detail necessary to run efficiently. Take a look at the infographic below to discover 4 Steps to Effectively Prototyping A User Experience Design.

In the evaluation phase of course development, many individuals are involved such as instructional designers, educators, subject matter experts, learners, etc. Each of these individuals can provide important information in the creation of courses such as past experiences, theory, structure, perspectives, and more. Each member plays an important role in course design and should be encouraged and appreciated for their contributions. Instructional designers play a key role in developing the flow and structure of the course ensuring that the learning objectives align with the intended learning goals of the course. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) provide their expertise from past experiences and current knowledge to best support the development of the course. Educators can provide crucial information from their teaching experiences and can help in the identification of which content in the courses needs adjusting or updating. The SMEs are who the team will confer with about possible acti...

In Kirkpatrick’s level 2: learning, designers tie evaluations such as quizzes, final exams, etc. directly to objectives. The main focus of level two is to ensure participants are acquiring the intendended knowledge, skills, content, etc.  Let’s review my course Legos for Beginners. In my course, I included the following three objectives:  By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate creativity by constructing unique Lego structures. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply problem-solving skills to overcome challenges presented in specific Lego building tasks.  By the end of the course, students will be able to collaborate effectively within groups to accomplish shared goals while creating a Lego building project.  To tie in Kirkpatrick’s level two, I had to create ways in which I would effectively assess the student’s abilities to show their success in reaching these objectives.  So I included the following assessments:...

How to Write Strong, Clear, and Measurable Objectives In this post, we'll explore the SMART method for creating clear and measurable objectives. This method is a framework that guides the development of objectives to ensure they are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Let's Start:  1.  Be Specific (align objectives with learning outcomes) 2.  Use Action Verbs    (such as define, construct, describe, identify, etc.) 3.  Analyze Audience  (learn the audience's background to understand the level of instruction) 4.  Achievable (make sure objectives are relevant and attainable) 5. Time-Specific (set a timeframe in which objectives should be obtained to reinforce urgency)
